MSTS was established in the year 2000 for the purpose of providing safety consultancy, training & advisory services for major sectors which included the oil and gas, marine, industrial as well as the public sectors. A member of the Denmark based Falck Nutec Group, a world leader in emergency response training and risk consulting services, MSTS have created a strong reputation for excellence and reliability in the region.

With focus on customer needs and commitment to quality, coupled with wide international accreditations and approvals such as OPITO (UK), MIS (Malaysia), IMO STCW 95 (Malaysia; Norway) and NEBSOH (UK) - we have within a short time span emerged as the leading provider of safety training & consulting services in the region. We now serve a wide spectrum of clientele ranging from small and medium-sized companies to large multinationals across the region.

Services

Training

We offer more than 150 different types of courses under 5 main disciplines - Survival, Emergency Response, Occupational Health & Safety, Skill Development and IMO STCW95. They are available as scheduled programs or on-request basis.

Courses are conducted by means of lectures, discussions, demonstrations and practical exercises while classes are carried out in dedicated classrooms equipped with modern multimedia facilities. A wide range of equipment and state-of-the-art facilities are available for practical training and demonstration.

Training is very much participants-centered and focuses on achieving optimum learning. Medium of instruction is English, and if required courses can also be conducted in Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, Mandarin and Tamil/Hindi. It is the company's policy to only engage the services of highly qualified and experienced individuals for all our programs

On-Site Training

Besides conducting courses at our regional facilities, MSTS can also provide training anywhere on location, especially for classroom based trainings and trainings required minimal equipment and facilities such as Medical First Aid, Management of Major Emergencies, Nebosh International General Certiciate in Occupational Safety & Health, Job Safety Analysis, Tripod Beta / Accident Investigation, Forklift Driving, and Rigging & Slinging courses.

Georgia, South Africa, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Angola, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand are some of the countries where we have provided on-site training. Our team is always ready to serve.

Consulting

MSTS offers strategic recommendations on matters related to risk and HSE consultancy services such as risk management & assessment, qualitative / quantified risk analysis, assessment, technical safety studies, environmental assessment & monitoring, HSE management system development / enhancement, human factors studies, business performance management and emergency response planning. We have the expertise to assist you.

Ancillary Services

Besides the main services, MSTS can assist in arranging meals, accommodation and pick-up service from/to any point in Malaysia and Singapore. And we can assist with other requirements such as providing medical check-up, laudry services and dinner arrangement.

Facilities

MSTS currently operates four training facilities in Malaysia and Singapore. They include a unique Purpose-built Training Barge and Fire and Emergency Response Training Center in Pasir Gudang, Johor (just across the causeway from Singapore), a modern training complex in Miri, Sarawak (close to Brunei) and a newly established integrated training centre in Singapore - All within easy access and located close to the oil & gas, marine and industrial zones in the region.

 

Purpose-Built Training Barge

Specially designed for safety and survival training, the purpose-built training barge is fully integrated and equipped with modern facilities such as helicopter underwater escape training simulator (METS 30), swimming pool and survival training facility, totally enclosed lifeboats, water jet and outboard rescue crafts, an impressive freefall lifeboat and a wide range of other latest training equipment and appliances. This novel concept of using a training barge will enhance the level of realism in training.

Permanently moored in a sheltered harbour, the training barge is connected to and form part of a larger complex (classrooms, medical lab, restaurant etc.) by easily accessible walkway / jetty.

 

Fire and Emergency Training Center

Located close to the training barge, the fire and emergency response training center is a comprehensive complex consisting of a large fire and smoke house simulating offshore and marine structures, gas/industrial processing area as well as many individual facilities for all types of basic and advanced fire and emergency training. The centre is equipped and  approved by OPITO to conduct more advanced fire fighting training.

 

Miri Training Centre

Located along the Miri river, the 2.5 acre Miri centre is a comprehensive complex consisting of a classroom block and modern training facilities capable of offering internationally approved courses. MSTS has recently embarked on expansion works which upon completion will have one of the largest fire and emergency response centres in the region.

 

Singapore centre

A new centre has recently been commissioned in the heart of the Singapore Oil & Gas Industrial sector. Located close to Raffles Marina in Tuas, the centre is self-contained and fully equipped to meet local and international standards including OPITO BOSIET standard.  In addition to having all the essential equipment and facilities, the centre has ample classrooms and support facilities to cater to clients' training needs under one roof.

Hence, whether your needs are for basic, intermediate or advanced training and whether you are involved in processing, energy, oil & gas exploration and production, transportation or manufacturing, we have the expertise and resources to meet them.

Network

Apart from facilities in Johor (in west Malaysia), Miri (in East Malaysia) and Singapore, we also have centres in Thailand and Vietnam (operate under Falck Nutec) and an associate centre in Indonesia.

And being part of the Falck Nutec Group which in 2008, trained more than 157,000 participants globally, we have direct links with more than 20 centers throughout the world. This strong network provides an unrivalled body of expertise and resources - latest industry practices, systems and techniques, course material and technology are among the resources easily accessible to MSTS
